COTA

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) are healthcare professionals who assist occupational therapists in providing treatment to patients. They work closely with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. COTAs must have a strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and techniques. The job requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a strong attention to detail. COTAs must also be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to manage their time efficiently. They typically work in hospitals, clinics, or private practices. The job requires a minimum of an associate's degree in occupational therapy and a certification in occupational therapy.
